The rugged mountains surrounding Lae in Papua New Guinea’s Morobe Province are renowned for their near impenetrable jungle that is home to a vast assortment or birds, wildlife, and exotic plant species.

That environment is artfully replicated as part of Rainforest Habitat – a unique flora and fauna sanctuary located in the grounds of the PNG University of Technology (Unitech).

Here’s an insight into what visitors will encounter at this noteworthy tourism destination just 9km from the centre of Lae.
