What's happening at the Enga Show

Gudmundur Fridriksson is passionate about all things PNG and enjoys sharing his vast knowledge, and local insights, through his blogs.

Now in its 26th year, the Enga Cultural Show celebrates the ancient traditions of the Enga people of Papua New Guinea.

Usually held in August, this year the event will take place 16 to 17 September. It offers a vibrant showcase of dance, costume, chants, rituals and skills from what is considered one of the last frontiers of modern civilisation.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s on offer at this year’s show.
